There are a lot of games that were originally made for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and then had sequels released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Most of these games were pretty much the same as the original (Metroid, Tetris, any board game); some were much worse than the original game (Super Castlevania IV) and a few were better (Super Punch Out, Mario, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.) So what was the difference for many of theses? What made some changes terrible and others great? The same thing that screws things up in every other new system release, sometimes game developers focus on game play (like they always should) and sometimes they like to show off the new graphics for the new system, which happens more and more with new systems as rookie developers tend to focus on graphics at the expense of gameplay.
