There are now five airports in the Languedoc Roussillon region of France. This has been excellent for tourism in the region as it has never been easier for people to fly in for a holiday. Although the Languedoc is a large region it is still surprising that there are so many airports. We who live and work here can only hope that the area continues to be as popular to foreign holiday makers as it is now. God forbid that tourism should dry up and flights get cut back. One of the advantages of living here is how easy it is for us all to catch a cheap flight home to visit friends and family. Just so you know, some of the many routes from the UK to the Languedoc are seasonal and only run in the summer, so check before you plan a trip.
