Everyone likes a little toning of their arm muscles. It does not have to cost a fortune, and a half-hour 3 or 4 days a week will give you the proper muscle tone and strengthen your arms too. Start with 1 lb. weights and work your way up to 5 lbs. How many days or weeks for each weight depends on how easy each weight category becomes. Make sure you purchase 2 of each weight class. The vinyl dumbbell weight is fine. No need to spend the extra money for metal.
Start with 3 sets of 10 lifts from your side and lift with your arms straight in front of you to shoulder level. Do the same out to your sides. You will notice your shoulders will also become more limber in the process. Do not rush up to the next weights until you are ready.
