Arts ‘n Crafts with Cheap Glass Tile

My mother once bought a bunch of cheap glass tile to do some decorating in the kitchen.  She
had ordered it online, and when it came in the mail, she was so disappointed with all the
scratches and misshapen pieces that she threw it all in the garbage.  I, crafts queen, was
horrified and leaped on the the opportunity for true creativity.  With those glass tiles,
I made a flower vase, decorated my bookshelves, refurbished an old photo album cover, and
made a mosaic for the front door with our family name on it.  Nearly every day, my mother
asks herself how she could have thrown those tiles out.  I ask her, too.  When will she learn?
With someone like me around, you can’t throw anything out!
